1.Privacy Policy
SCHOLE Corporation (hereinafter, “the Company”) may obtain and utilize information regarding individuals (hereinafter, “personal data”) when providing services offered by the Company, including the Business Management Game and all associated products, apps, services, and websites (hereinafter collectively, “Company services”).
2.Purposes of Use for Collected Personal Data
The Company may collect data from customers such as their name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, attribute data, and device data for the following purposes.
・To provide and maintain Company services, and to develop and improve services and content
・To respond to inquiries
・To communicate regarding new features of Company services, updates, campaigns, maintenance, and important notifications, etc.
・To prevent unauthorized use, such as unauthorized access, etc.
・Other purposes subsidiary to the above purposes of use
3.Provision of Personal Data to Third Parties
In principle, the Company shall not provide personal data to third parties except when it has obtained consent from the customer or when permitted by applicable laws. However, the Company may provide personal data to third parties in the cases enumerated below.
1.Some duties necessary for the provision of Company services (e.g., service architecture/administration, payment processing, customer support, etc.) may be outsourced to third parties. When doing so, some or all personal data may be entrusted to such outsourcing contractors which include companies located in the following countries and territories. In such cases, the Company shall select outsourcing contractors recognized to handle such data appropriately, establish appropriate outsourcing contract provisions regarding personal information handling, including security measures, confidentiality, subcontracting conditions, and the return of personal information upon expiration of the outsourcing contract, etc., and conduct necessary and appropriate oversight.
2.When it is necessary for cooperating with a government agency, a local authority, or those entrusted thereby in executing their legally prescribed duties, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of said duties.
3.Notwithstanding the provisions of the previous paragraph, the entities to which personal data is provided shall not be considered third parties in the following cases. (1) In the event that a business to business transaction arises involving the Company business subject to this policy such as an acquisition, merger, or change in the business entity, personal data consequently may also be transferred to the successor to the business within the extent permitted by applicable laws. (2) In cases of joint use of personal data with a specified entity, when notification to that effect is made in advance to the individual, and the items to be used jointly, the scope of joint use, the purposes of use of the users, and the names or titles of the parties responsible for the security of such data are communicated to the individual or otherwise made readily accessible by the individual.
In addition to the above, the Company may provide personal data in its possession to third parties after processing it into a form in which individuals are not identifiable (anonymized data or statistical data).
4.Disclosure of Personal Data
When a customer has requested the disclosure of personal data, the Company will disclose that data to the individual. However, if any of the following circumstances would apply as a result of the disclosure, disclosure may not be made wholly or in part, and if it is decided not to disclose, the customer will be notified to that effect without delay.
1.There is the possibility of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party
2.There is the possibility of seriously interfering with the proper execution of the business activities of the Company
3.It would otherwise result in the violation of laws or statutes
Notwithstanding the provisions of the previous paragraph, in principle, information other than personal data such as log information and characteristics data will not be disclosed.
5.Correction and Deletion of Personal Data
1.When the personal data of a customer in the Company’s possession is incorrect, the customer may make a request to the Company for corrections, additions, or deletion (hereinafter, “corrections, etc.”) via the procedure established by the Company.
2.When the Company receives a request from the customer per the previous paragraph and deems it necessary to comply with said request, the Company shall make corrections, etc., to said information.
3.When the Company has decided whether or not to make corrections, etc., in accordance with the provisions of the previous paragraph, the user will be notified to that effect.
6.Management of Personal Data
The Company obtains and stores personal data in order to provide services which meet the customer’s requirements, to accomplish the purposes of use listed in this policy, and to comply with applicable laws. In principle, the Company shall retain a customer’s information as long as the customer does not request deletion of their personal data. When a customer requests the deletion of their personal data, the Company shall delete the customer’s information in accordance with applicable laws and internal regulations after retaining it for a fixed period.
